Golden garlic slivers and pepper flakes jazz up this side dish. If desired, broccolini can sub in for broccoli rabe.
- 1 lb broccoli rabe
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Trim broccoli rabe and chop into 1-inch pieces. Add to water. Cook 2–3 min., until stems are tender. Drain and pat dry.
- Thinly slice garlic. In a large skillet, heat oil on medium and sauté garlic for 1–2 min., until slightly golden. Add red pepper flakes and sauté 30 sec.
- Add broccoli rabe to skillet and cook 10 min., stirring constantly, until very tender.
