The good thing about homemade granola bars is that you control everything that goes into the baking tray. This recipe is a great suggestion to start with, but you can customize it to your liking with your favorite dried fruits and nuts. Ideal for lunchboxes, these bars are delicious and full of fiber.
Ingredients
- 4 cups old-fashioned or quick oats, uncooked
- 1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375ºF. Combine all ingredients and press into a well-greased 9x13-inch pan.
- Bake 10–15 min., until browned.
- Cool completely and cut into 24 bars.
