Warm up with this comforting mulled wine.
- 1 orange
- 1 (750ml) bottle red wine
- 1 clove
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- Cut the orange into slices. In a medium pot on low heat, add the wine, orange slices, clove, sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Cook 15 min., stirring occasionally. Do not bring to a boil; it will cause the alcohol to evaporate.
- Remove clove and cinnamon, and serve immediately.
Make sure the pot is not made of aluminum, as it will alter the flavor.
